Afghan silver earrings with turquoise

Raw in form, yet expressive—these long earrings were handcrafted by Afghan artisans. A silver alloy with an estimated silver content of approximately 80% (800 fineness) gives them a matte finish, while blue turquoise cabochons set at the top create a focal point.

The stem of the earrings resembles the decorative ritual rods of tribal insignia—decorated with regular grooves and topped with a spherical head. The overall effect is a modern reinterpretation of an ancient symbolic form, with a touch of mysticism and primal strength.

Turquoise stones may have natural micro-cracks and color variations, which are not a defect but rather a characteristic of this type of hand-set mineral. The setting itself may show traces of soldering, indicating authenticity and handcrafted workmanship.

These earrings are unhallmarked and have not been laboratory tested, so their composition is approximate. Recommended as an ethnic accessory with soul – for lovers of unpolished beauty and oriental stories imprinted in metal and stone.
