Fashion and the meaning of life? Just dance!

Today the whole of Poland is dancing. Children dance in schools, in circles and in bonfires. Young people choose contemporary dance, girls pole dance, guys hip-hop. From Zakopane to Hel, more dance schools are springing up all over the country, not only in big cities, but also in the smaller ones and even in villages.

Today everyone wants to learn to dance, young and old, because regardless of beliefs, lifestyle and age, more and more people are finding in dancing a break from the gray reality, a passion, and even find that dancing is the meaning of his life. The fashion for dancing is, after all, the fashion for success. Celebrities are dancing, dancing on ice on TV, the Internet, everywhere! The Polish media have created a trend that has not passed away for several years now, is still relevant and invariably determines a huge interest.

It all started with TVN and the hit "Dancing with the Stars." The Western idea turned out to be a hit! Each episode of the show was watched by millions of Poles. This undisputed phenomenon, taken over by POLSAT TV, seems to be on all the time. Public television could not have been worse. After all, it responded with a similar show in an instant: "Stars Dance on Ice." TVN's retort? The youthful "You Can Dance - Just Dance!". What does POLSAT have to say about it? "Got to dance!" TVP has again made a series about dancing. For this in Super Cinema (TVN) "Shall we dance", "Dirty dancing", "Step up" and "Love and dance". Everywhere dancing, dancing and dancing! Fashion, madness!

Why this sudden and such large-scale popularity of dance? - We have proven that anyone can become the king of the dance floor," says Beata Tyszkiewicz, actress and juror of the "Dancing with the Stars" program.

Carried by this conviction, dancers from all over the country are setting up smaller and larger dance schools, boasting about their achievements and anything that can attract people in love with dancing (or dancing stars). Dancers today own the whole country. They can get hired to show at corporate events or on television. They can successfully give private lessons, charging as much as several hundred zlotys per hour. The industry recognizes the significant, if not crucial, influence of the media on the observed phenomenon. No one dares even deny that it was TVN that unleashed this circus, a veritable frenzy. - It's television that has turned the economy, there's no doubt about it," bluntly and falsely admits Michal, an instructor who works at one of Krakow's dance schools. - People who want to start learning to dance first call and ask if we will definitely teach them this dance from TV, this particular choreography... and only then do they sign up for a course," he continues. Students are most interested in learning the tango, samba and cha-cha, which are exactly the dances that appear in episodes of the show.

Who comes to the course? Is it only children attracted often by force by parents full of ambition? Of course not. Today, retirees who miss the dances and get-to-know-you evenings known from the late 20th century want to dance. Singles who are looking for a partner or partner who want to break away from the gray, lonely everyday life also want to impress with dancing. The course is also attended by businessmen who want to dance like stars and look like them. For dancing is a sport, and sport, as we all know, is health. Brides come to the courses before their wedding, ladies come after pregnancy to get back in shape faster, students for a moment of relaxation.

Some want to be not only fashionable, but also original. The market immediately responded and to these needs by preparing an interesting and unconventional dance-oriental offer. In it, the best example is belly dancing with beautiful costumes, feminine sensuality, and this is what makes ladies delighted! And if not orient, how about dance aerobics, which allows you to lose weight, release emotions and overcome stress? There's also latino aerobics (with elements of Latin American dances), funky aerobics (related to contemporary dance) and urban aerobics (set in American rap). Everyone is sure to find something for themselves.
